We acknowledge that we perform in amiskwacîwâskahikan on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional and ancestral lands of many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. This land has long been a place of gathering, trade, ceremony, and community for Indigenous peoples, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene, Nakota Sioux, and Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4.
We honour and recognize the enduring relationship Indigenous peoples have with this land, and the knowledge, culture, and stewardship they continue to share.
We also acknowledge the significant contributions and sacrifices of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples who served Canada with courage and distinction in times of war — often while facing inequity and exclusion at home. Their legacy of service, resilience, and leadership remains an important part of our shared history and reconciliation journey.
